Case Brief
Our challenge was to re-imagine the library space so that it could more positively impact graduate student research and success. While the library has served the College well, the space needs an investment to modernize the services available. Interviewing various stakeholders led us to imagine a high-tech, personalized, configurable space that gives users the opportunity to work on their own or with others. Feedback from an early prototype allowed us to address areas that needed changing as well as clarifying some points. (For more detail on feedback click here.) The design includes collaborative space (like whiteboard walls), useful tools (workstations with qualitative and quantitative analysis software), snacks and beverages, as well as space to allow parents to bring their children.
